  8. I accidentally read some of the documentation that comes with xfig (..) and found
  9. that a program to convert postscript files to xfig files would be worth having.
  10. The program pstoedit does just that along with converting it to a couple of other formats
  11. that probably isn't too useful on the amiga at the moment (tgif and mif format).

  13. This version is compiled with SAS/C and an arexx script has been added, so there
  14. is no need for 'sh' or any other unix commands. It uses ghostscript, 
  15. so you'll still need that.

  17. If you have all the programs needed you can write:

  19. sh pstoedit -f xfig tiger.ps
  20.  
  21. or rx pstoedit.rexx tiger.ps
  22.  
  23. If you use the unix script you have to edit the resulting fig file
  24. by removing the duplicate header:

  27. Portrait
  28. Flush Left
  29. Inches
  30. 1200 2

  32. Other than that it actually seems to work!

  34. To edit the resulting file you'll want to get the latest version of my port
  35. of xfig (xfig9d.lha) or eh..um..the AmiWin version of xfig..
